FIN*Nebuankhet

Nebuankhet can roughly be translated as "the gold of honour", and it was the highest honour the ancient pharaohs gave to their war heroes. And what finer honour to a modern man there is than an Abyssinian´s never-ending affection and its graceful beauty!

I got my first Abyssinian in the beginning of the new millennium and my cattery name in 2002. Because our cats are first and foremost family members, my breeding programme is rather small-scale, but nevertheless carefully planned. Breeding cats are tested for patella luxation, PRA and PK-deficiency*. Kittens are available from time to time. I am particularly interested in dilution colours, blue and fawn.

(*Patella luxation has been found from Abyssinians occasionally, PRA is an abbreviation of progressive retinal atrophy, a hereditary eye disease, PK-deficiency is recently detected form of anaemia, carriers of the disease can be easily and securely tested with a dna-test.)
